Premier League: Man Utd consider the move to finally sign £59.5million star

Man Utd was heavily linked with Bruno Fernandes in the summer transfer window but the Portuguese international eventually stayed with Sporting CP.

Now, the Primeira Liga star is once again in the limelight and reports suggest that Manchester United is considering a move to finally sign him. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Goal report

According to Goal, the Red Devils are looking to sign a creative midfielder in the winter transfer window and a few top players have been in the focus.

It is mentioned that Eriksen and Maddison were top targets but the Danish star could join Inter Milan and the England international might not leave Leicester until the summer.

In such a scenario Manchester United is once again considering the capture of Bruno Fernandes, who signed a new contract with the Lions back in November.

Even after agreeing on the new deal, which improved his wages but did not alter the contract duration (2023) or the release clause renowned Portuguese source A Bola via Sport Witness did not rule out the attacking midfielder’s departure in the middle of the campaign and claimed that a move worth 70 million euros (£59.5million) could be enough to get his signing done.

The 25-year-old star was in superb form for Sporting CP last term. In all competitions, he directly contributed to 50 goals in just 53 appearances and helped his team win two cup titles.

Moreover, he was part of the Portugal team that won the UEFA Nations League last year. For the senior international side so far, he has scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists in 19 appearances under the management of Fernando Santos.

In the current campaign for his club, so far, in 23 games the former Serie A attacker has netted 13 goals and provided as many assists.

He has been one of the stars in this season’s Europa League having scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in just 5 appearances thus far. Sporting will face Istanbul Basaksehir in the Round of 32.

Man Utd go back to Bruno Fernandes

Man Utd is reconsidering a move for Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes, as they miss out on their prime targets.

According to a report in Goal, Fernandes is moving up Manchester United’s shortlist as they have failed to sign Erling Haaland. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had expected to bring the 19-year-old striker in from RB Salzburg but he has instead joined Borussia Dortmund after extensive work from the German side.

The 25-year-old Portuguese playmaker would be expected to step into the void left by Paul Pogba’s unspecified injury, which could see the Frenchman out of first-team action for several months.

Added to this, Scott McTominay is also injured, which leaves Manchester United down to Andreas Pereira, Fred, and Nemanja Matic. Youngster James Garner has been given limited time under Solskjaer so he would not be ready for any first-team action regularly.

United have also had an interest in Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United but a move in the summer broke down. They have failed to land Christian Eriksen from Spurs, with the Danish playmaker set for a £20 million move to Italian side Inter Milan.

James Maddison

James Maddison is another target for Manchester United, but the club believes they have more chance of signing him in the summer. There was speculation recently of a part-exchange offer to Leicester of Jesse Lingard and £45 million, but it is unclear why Leicester would want a deal worth just £25 million in total.

Man Utd has sent their scouts to extensively research potential options at the biggest clubs in Portugal hinting that they have been caught on the back foot in January yet again.

The club close to the top four but has failed to find the consistency to mount a serious challenge and Solskjaer is known to want a couple of signings before the window closes.

Chelsea target £60m left-back, Arsenal and Spurs sent transfer message

The January transfer window is officially open for business as clubs brace themselves for the madness that a transfer window normally brings. Sides around Europe will no doubt be looking to strengthen their squads for the second half of the campaign, and Premier League clubs are no different. Football fans around the world can buy online Premier League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, and others are all being linked with signing new players, with the 2020 January transfer window now open until January 31.

Chelsea target David Alaba

Chelsea is to make Bayern Munich defender David Alaba their top target in January.

Left-back is a key area that Frank Lampard wants to strengthen in the Chelsea squad, with doubts over the future of Marcos Alonso and Emerson.

Ben Chilwell has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge; however, The Mirror claims that Alaba is their first choice option. It would cost a whopping £60m to sign the 27-year-old.

Man United and Juventus chase Icardi

Manchester United and Juventus have entered the race to sign Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan, despite Paris-Saint Germain’s option to purchase the Argentinian striker.

The 26-year-old has been in fantastic form for the Ligue 1 champions this season, scoring 14 goals in 18 appearances.

However, according to CalcioMercato, Juventus are keen to swoop in and sign Icardi from rivals Inter, with Manchester United also linked, despite a fee already being set should PSG wish to sign him permanently.

PSG has an agreement in place to sign Icardi for £59.7m at the conclusion of his temporary spell.

Arsenal and Spurs chase Ziyech

According to the latest reports, Hakim Ziyech has been told he can leave Ajax this window. Arsenal and Tottenham are both chasing the Moroccan playmaker, with a fee of £43m being touted.

This is according to Italian outlet CalcioMercato, who claim that Ajax has told Ziyech he will be allowed to leave if a club meets their asking price.

The 26-year-old has scored nine and recorded 12 assists in 28 matches this season.

Premier League: Every Chelsea player's salaries for the current season have been revealed

Frank Lampard’s project at Chelsea is very different from that of his various predecessors under Roman Abramovich.

The end of the Blues’ transfer ban means they are finally free to dip into the transfer market.

Yet so far, Lampard has been forced to operate on a very different basis to the likes of Jose Mourinho, instead of relying on young players and re-motivating existing stars. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Admittedly, Chelsea did have a comparatively high wage bill already in place to compete with other Premier League clubs.

In the top flight, only Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool pay a higher average wage to their players.

That average is naturally brought up by Chelsea’s highest earners with Sportrac providing the full data on who earns what at Stamford Bridge.

Kepa Arrizabalaga (£150,000)

Naturally, the most expensive goalkeeper in the world is also among the top earners at Chelsea. Has he been a good value for that money? Largely but he is also made several high-profile errors.

N'Golo Kante (£150,000)

There can be no arguments. Kane is one of the finest midfielders in the Premier League and was arguably the key figure when they last won the title in 2017. Also, a thoroughly lovely man who deserves this sort of money just because of his wonderful personality:

Christian Pulisic (£145,000)

Pulisic was always going to command a big wage because of his reputation but he really struggled to hit the ground running. Things are finally looking up for him now that he has five goals and has made two assists.

Willian (£120,000)

There are few Chelsea players that divide the fans like Willian some rate him some think he is not worth a penny of his £120k-a-week.

Tiemoue Bakayoko (£110,000)

Bakayoko was a complete flop but these wages are at least split with Monaco where he is back on loan.

Jorginho (£110,000)

The midfielder’s contribution was more subtle in his first season but under Lampard, his involvement is more tangible even if he still does not get as many goals and assists as he would like.

Olivier Giroud (£110,000)

Giroud is a World Cup winner and an established Premier League striker of eight years. Even so, given that he is made just two League starts all season we cannot help but feel this is money that could be better spent elsewhere.

Mateo Kovacic (£106,673)

An oddly specific amount, Kovacic has played a part in all bar one of Chelsea’s league games this season.

Marcos Alonso (£100,000)

Alonso has been atrocious at times this season though compared to the wages some top clubs pay £100k is not all that much in the grand scheme of things.

Ross Barkley (£100,000)

Barkley has had injury problems which is a pity as he finally looked like he was about to fulfill his promise. The midfielder inevitably commanded a high wage as Chelsea courted him for years.

Pedro (£100,000)

The 32-year-old has played a minimal role since Lampard’s arrival but he is still one of the most experienced heads in the dressing room.

Antonio Rudiger (£100,000)

Rudiger ought to be on more than the likes of Alonso and Danny Drinkwater’s hands down. The Germany international is now the key to their defense.

Danny Drinkwater (£100,000)

There really is no justice in the world. Drinkwater was let go by Burnley and his career seems to be in total free fall. Unsurprisingly, Chelsea is demanding that any club who takes him on loan must now pay the entirety of his wages.

Cesar Azpilicueta (£90,000)

Azpilicueta, on the other hand, is consistent long-standing and probably one of the most underrated defenders in the Premier League.

Michy Batshuayi (£90,000)

Batshuayi was class in Ligue 1 but has never made much of an impact at Chelsea. Another loan spell beckons this month.

Baba Rahman (£86,000)

The Ghanaian is on loan at Mallorca having played for Chelsea 15 times since he joined in 2015. This is his fourth loan spell and it is not immediately clear why he is still on the books at all.

Andreas Christensen (£80,000)

When he is given an opportunity the Dane looks promising but £80k seems about right for a player who is still yet to really establish himself.

Mason Mount (£75,000)

Mount is one of several players who has benefited from Chelsea’s transfer ban finally establishing himself as a top-flight player this season.

Victor Moses (£75,000)

To be frank Antonio Conte saw something in Moses that not many else have before or since. He’s currently on loan at Fenerbahce.

Davide Zappacosta (£70,000)

Zappacosta was given a new contract before being sent on loan to Roma, so his decent weekly wage may reflect that they still have plans for him or are trying to up his transfer fee.

Tammy Abraham (£50,000)

A new contract is surely on the way for Chelsea’s top scorer who has only recently fallen behind in the race for the Golden Boot.

Kurt Zouma (£40,000)

Zouma undoubtedly has potential but has never been quite the same since his horrific leg break in 2016. Chelsea does have faith that he will continue to progress through and are already in talks with him over a new deal.

Chelsea’s lowest earners the likes of Jake Clarke-Salter (£5,000-a-week) and Ethan Ampadu (£7,500-a-week) have a lot to aspire to ahead of them.

Also at the bottom of the rung are Marco van Ginkel (£27,885), Isaiah Brown (£25,000), Kenedy (£25,000), Lewis Baker (£20,000), Michael Hector (£17,000), Matt Miazga (£15,000), and Nathan (£10,000).

It is a good job the club is planning to sit down with quite a few of their senior players to discuss extensions and put right some of these potential injustices.

Premier League: Man Utd reported to be in negotiations for Lille’s Boubakary Soumare

Man Utd is in negotiations to sign Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare, according to several reports in the British and French press.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form in Ligue 1 this season and has made 26 appearances across all competitions. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

His performances have attracted several suitors including Chelsea, Real Madrid, Spurs, Arsenal, Napoli, and Valencia.

Wolves are also chasing the Frenchman and had a £34 million bid rejected some months ago, with the French club holding out for a figure of around £50 million.

According to getfootballnewsfrance.com, Les Dogues have now received bids from six different clubs for the defensive midfielder, with speculation mounting that the Red Devils are amongst them.

Sky Sports report

Sky Sports are also reporting that Man Utd is one of several clubs chasing Soumare, claiming that a deal could be done in the next week to 10 days although Lille would favor to keep him up to after their Ligue 1 home game beside PSG on January 26 if they can.

Renato Sanches’ fine form for Lille has softened the club’s stance on a January exit for Soumaré, although Coach Christophe Galtier would still prefer a deal in which the player is loaned back to the club until the end of the season.

This could potentially work against the Red Devils in negotiations, as they urgently need midfield reinforcements immediately due to the injuries to Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.

Soumare is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League and Old Trafford in particular. It would, therefore, seem to be a deal that the Manchester United board has a very good chance of getting over the line in the January window.

Man Utd, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all chasing Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare, who is likely to be sold this month Sky Sports News has been told.

Spanish clubs Valencia and Real Madrid are also said to be intent in the France U21 international which was contracted from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transmission by Lille’s highly-rated sporting director Luis Campos.

A deal might be done in the next week to 10 days though Lille would favor to keep him until after their Ligue 1 home game against PSG on January 26 if they can.

Man Utd chasing Lille midfielder

Soumare, who has two-and-a-half years left on his Lille agreement is a box-to-box midfielder in the mold of Paul Pogba and has fascinated across 23 arrivals in all competitions this season including six in the Champions League.

He is predictable to be the only one of Lille’s hopeful stars to be shifted this month despite 21-year-old striker Victor Osimhen and 22-year-old center-back Gabriel also being chased by top clubs from across Europe.
