Premier League: Frank Lampard wants Newcastle hero Shay Given as coach at Chelsea
Shay Given is a hero
from his time at Newcastle but he is currently in demand with Chelsea boss
Frank Lampard determined to add him to his coaching staff.
Given is currently
the goalkeeping coach at Derby after agreeing to stay on with new manager
Philipp Cocu after Lampard’s departure for London. Sports enthusiasts from
around the world can purchase Premier League Tickets
online to enjoy its stunning performances.
But Lampard is said to
be concerned over the form of Kepa Arrizabalaga and believes the former Toon
keeper is the perfect man to get the best out of their stopper who cost a
world-record fee for the position.
Given made 445
appearances for Newcastle between 1997 and 2009 keeping 123 clean sheets during
that time and must go down as one of the club’s greatest bargain signings with
him costing a mere £2 million.
Lampard had wanted to
take Given to Stamford Bridge with him when he took the manager’s job there but
the Chelsea hierarchy was keen to give the goalkeeping coach role to Henrique
Hilario instead.
So Given stayed at
Derby but due to the worries over Chelsea’s star keeper, Lampard is desperate
to get the Irish legend on board with him.
Shay
Given kept Steve Harper out of the Newcastle side for many years
During his time at
Newcastle Given constantly kept Steve Harper out of the side and it was not
until the former left St James’ Park that the later got his opportunity to be
the number one keeper at the club.
The pair was always
great friends however and Harper’s loyalty to the club meant he was happy to
play understudy for much of his career.
If Given was to join
the Chelsea staff, it would see both Newcastle icons plying their coaching
trade at Premier
League clubs with Harper currently the academy
goalkeeping coach with the Magpies.
Derby would presumably
be reluctant to allow Given to leave and it remains to be seen how much the
Championship club would want in compensation for him.
It is a shame that
there is not a role for Given to fill at Newcastle which could reunite two of
the best goalkeepers we have had at the club in recent times.

Premier League: Manchester United fans tell club how many signings to
make in January transfer window
Manchester
Utd is eyeing reinforcements in January after selling several players during
the summer. Manchester United’s supporters have told the club to sign two or
three players during the January transfer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently
suggested United could bring in up to two new faces in the new year,
with reinforcements required to bolster his thin squad. Football devotees from
around the world can purchase Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its fabulous actions.
A poll conducted by MEN
Sport on Twitter revealed 40 percent of fans believe the ideal number of
new signings would be two, with 33 percent suggesting three additions are
necessary. Only four percent are of the belief that one signing would be
enough. Just less than a quarter (23 percent) of the poll’s 2,009 respondents
rather ambitiously believe United need to make four or more signings.
MEN
Sport understands United want a minimum of four signings across the two
transfer windows next year. They are open to doing business in January and
Solskjaer has already outlined his desire for an attacking addition. The
hierarchy’s preference is for three incomings and three outgoings in the
summer.
Jadon
Sancho, Declan Rice, and James Maddison are understood to be among United’s top
targets, although it is unlikely any of those three would be attainable during
a January window.
In
terms of outgoings, Nemanja Matic is open to leaving the club due to a lack of
game time. The Serb has barely featured this term and is currently sidelined
with an unspecified injury.
Matic
has been linked with a move to Inter Milan and is out of contract at the end of
the season so United may decide to sell him in January to ensure they recoup a
fee for him.

Premier League: Huge injury boost Bellerin transfer warning Henry's return and Lacazette message
The global break has
come at the perfect phase for Arsenal. And for head coach Unai Emery who has
been given the vote of sureness from the club’s chain of command following aggregate
fan. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier
League Tickets online to enjoy its fabulous
performances.
Defeat at Leicester
City last weekend means the Gunners are four points off the final Champions
League spot although there is plenty of time to make ground up on the Foxes
Chelsea and Manchester City.
By the time the north
London outfit return to action, it will have been a fortnight since they last
played and improvements in terms of the result, as well as the scoreline, will
be demanded from supporters.
That game comes a week
tomorrow as they host a struggling Southampton side where Emery will be
expected to mastermind a first Premier
League win since before the October
international break.
With that said here is
all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.
Fitness
boost
The good news for the
Gunners and Emery ahead of the meeting against the Saints is that Emile Smith
Rowe should be in contention to at least make the matchday squad.
It is been an injury-hit
season for the attacking midfielder thus far and he suffered a setback prior to
last week’s Europa League tie against Vitoria and was left out of the traveling
squad.
Smith Rowe has moved to
prove his fitness to Emery ahead of the Saints clash by playing a starring role
for the England U20’s in their game against Portugal on Thursday afternoon.
As pointed out on
Twitter the Gunners wonder kid was on the score sheet in a 4-0 win for Keith
Downing’s side.
Bellerin
to Italy:
Hector Bellerin is
attracting interest from an unnamed club in Italy.
That’s according to the
Arsenal defender’s agent Alberto Botines who has said that he cannot reveal the
club in question.
Botines told: He comes from a bad injury and is returning to
his usual level. He likes Italy there is already been interest from an Italian
club but I cannot reveal it.“
He has a long contract
and it would not be easy to take him away from Arsenal he is their vice-captain.
We will see how the season goes.
Thierry
Henry is back in management
The Arsenal legend has
described it as an honor to become the head coach of Major League Soccer side
Montreal Impact.
The 42-year-old
has signed a two-year deal to become the head coach of the MLS side
with Henry returning to the league having played for New York Red Bulls between
2010 and 2014.
This is the first job
for Arsenal's leading goal scorer since he left League 1 side Monaco
earlier this year with Henry unable to turn around the fortunes of the French
side which were 19th at the time of his departure.
He now has a second
chance in management and is ready for the challenge that awaits.
It is a league that I
know well where I had a great time. Being in Quebec in Montreal which has
a huge multicultural heritage, is something extraordinary he said. I have every
time I had an eye on this club and currently, I am there.
Lacazette’s
message
Samuel Umtiti continues
to be linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium ahead of the January
transfer window as the team is still struggling defensively.
And Alexandre Lacazette
took social media to send his compatriot a message.
Umtiti turned 26 on
November 14 and the Gunners star made sure to celebrate it with a number of
posts on his Instagram stories.
