France will face Germany in its upcoming Euro Cup fixture

Germany was drawn in a successful Group F against defending world champion France and Portugal at UEFA Euro 2020, with its fourth opponent to be determined after the play-offs in March.

Sports enthusiasts from around the world can purchase France vs Germany Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

As seed and host, Germany was guaranteed to be part of Group F, Munich being one of 12 cities hosting the first pan-European competition organized by UEFA. Die Mannschaft will play its three group matches at the Allianz Arena at Bayern Munich: France on June 16, Portugal on June 20 and their remaining opponents on June 24.

Germany and France have crossed swords in two of their last three major tournaments, with Joachim Löw’s men ousting Les Bleus on the verge of winning the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Their last competitive encounter with Portugal also took place in this tournament, when they won a 4-0 group stage victory.

France and Portugal have a lot of talent but they will have to keep an eye on the tastes of Bayern forward Serge Gnabry, who scored an eight-goal peak in qualifying and will no doubt appreciate the prospect of playing at home.

The fourth team in the group will be the winner of dams A or D. Germany, France and Portugal could, therefore, be joined by Iceland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Georgia, North Macedonia, Kosovo or Belarus. The other three Group F matches will take place at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary.

Germany has qualified for each edition of the European Championship since winning the trophy when it debuted in 1972. It also won the tournament in 1980 and 1996, making it the most successful team titled in the history of the euro alongside Spain.

Under Michel Platini, former president of UEFA decided to mark its 60th anniversary by organizing Euro Cup 2020 in 12 different countries, but current boss Aleksander Ceferin has confirmed that the format will be unique. Germany has already obtained accommodation rights for Euro 2024 and will host the competition for the second time after 1988.

England will face Czech Republic in its upcoming Euro Cup 2020 fixtures

The convoluted draw for Euro 2020 is over and we now know the groups that will make up the pan-continental tournament next summer.

England will meet Czech Republic and the Croatia, and the winner of a dam which could be their oldest rival, Scotland if the Scots triumph in March. Sports enthusiasts from around the world can purchase Czech Republic vs England Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Wales will meet Switzerland and Turkey in Baku before traveling to Rome to face Group A favorite Italy. The indisputable “group of the dead” includes the winners of the 2014 World Cup, Germany, the reigning world champions, France, and the reigning European champions, Portugal.

This will be the first Euro Cup competition to be played across the region, using 12 different venues from Dublin to Baku, starting on Friday, June 12 in Rome and culminating on Sunday, July 12 in London.

Venues:

• Rome (Stadio Olimpico)

• Baku (Olympic stadium)

• Saint Petersburg (Saint Petersburg Stadium)

• Copenhagen (Parken stadium)

• Amsterdam (Johan Cruijff Arena)

• Bucharest (national arena)

• London (Wembley Stadium)

• Glasgow (Hampden Park)

• Bilbao (Estadio de San Mames)

• Dublin (Dublin Arena)

• Munich (Fußball Arena Munchen)

It’s still the moment: eight months after the last big tournament in England, they are back in the battle for a place at the next one - the 2020 Euros. Gareth Southgate’s men are (whisper it) nailed to the favorites to dominate their qualifying group, which includes Bulgaria, Montenegro, Kosovo and tonight’s opponents - arguably the toughest of the lot - the Czech Republic.

Southgate stayed with many players who exceeded expectations so gloriously last summer while showing a willingness to trust promising youngsters: his qualifying team includes Jadon Sancho, who will turn 19 next week and impress in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, 20, who got his first call after changing allegiance from the Republic of Ireland.

After injuries saw four players withdraw, Southgate drafted a few late additions: Southampton free-kick specialist James Ward-Prowse, 24, and peloton baby, 18-year-old Chelsea winger Callum Hudson -Odoi - even if he has yet to make a Premier League debut.

England v Czech Republic (kick-off at 7:45 p.m.). All the action from the first match of Group A of the two teams at Wembley Stadium. Historically, the Czechs have a better record than England in this competition, having won the tournament under the name of Czechoslovakia in 1976 and also finished second in their current appearance in 1996, when England, host country, got its best result in the competition as semi-finalists.

In recent years, both teams have qualified consistently unless the three Lions reach Euro 2008. However, English football is at its peak after fourth place in the World Cup in last summer and qualifying for the UEFA Nations League semi-finals, Gareth Southgate’s men will expect nothing less than three points tonight. Presents by Mark Pougatch, with analysis by Lee Dixon and  Ian Wright and comments by Glenn Hoddle and Clive Tyldesley.

Premier League: Why Chelsea has a dream to sign Ziyech

Ajax and Chelsea have officially agreed to a transfer that will send Hakim Ziyech to London. Here’s why the Morocco international is a dream signing for the Blues.

In Lampard‘s first season in charge of Chelsea, the London-based club have been one of the Premier League‘s more exciting teams. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Armed with a disciplined defense, a midfield capable of controlling games, and a few dangerous young players in the attack, the Blues look like a team on the rise over the next handful of years with a tactically competent and composed manager running the show.

But something was missing. Although Chelsea has a box-to-box midfielder in N'Golo Kante, two orchestrators in Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, a future star winger in Christian Pulisic, and an elite striker in Tammy Abraham, they were missing a dynamic playmaker.

Willian, in some ways, is that player, but he is more of a technically-proficient role player than someone who can consistently create chances in the final third.

The word replacement gets thrown around haphazardly, but Chelsea was indeed looking for someone who could replace Eden Hazard in one sense of the word.

They were not looking for a one-to-one replacement for one of the world’s most effective dribblers and all-around attackers, nor were they necessarily looking for a direct replacement at the left-wing position.

Chelsea Pace Winger

In Pulisic, they purchased the pace winger who can grab goals as part of their plan of a future without Hazard. Yet they still needed the attacking player who could create the chances and killer passes, replacing that aspect of Hazard’s production.

In Hakim Ziyech, Chelsea has found the best possible answer. On Thursday it was announced that the London club has a deal in place to buy Ziyech from Ajax at the end of the season.

Chelsea will pay 40 million euros, a fee which could potentially rise to 44 million, for Ziyech next summer.

It is a more than a reasonable fee for a 26-year-old playmaker in his prime who orchestrated one of the Champions League’s best Cinderella stories last season.

Ziyech was the true star of that Ajax team. In all competitions last season, Ziyech had 19 goals and 16 assists, mirroring Eden Hazard’s 18 goals and 17 assists between the Premier League and Champions League.

This season, Ziyech has been just as dangerous for the Amsterdam club, even if he’s flying under the radar. He has six goals and 12 assists with 2.7 dribbles per game and a jaw-dropping 3.7 key passes per game, per WhoScored.com.

Almost unbelievably, Ziyech is as good at setting up his teammates as he was last season, showing that his breakout 2018-19 campaign, aided by the spotlight of Ajax’s Champions League run, was no fluke.

Jadon Sancho or Ziyech

Chelsea could have pursued the younger Jadon Sancho instead of Ziyech. With his ridiculous agility, acceleration, and tricks, Sancho is perhaps the only player in the world capable of being directly compared to Hazard.

Last season, Sancho had 13 goals and 15 assists between the Bundesliga and Champions League, and he already has 14 goals and 15 assists in all competitions this season.

The problem with Sancho is that he would have cast Chelsea three times the price that Ziyech did. Sancho is the world’s most coveted young player after Kylian Mbappe, but Chelsea is on a tight budget.

Splurging nine figures on Sancho was simply out of the question. Ziyech, though, is a relatively inexpensive attacking player who can play at a world-class level.

And more importantly for Chelsea, he is a better pure playmaker. Position ally, Ziyech lines up as a right-winger, but he plays like a No. 10.

Ziyech can fluidly roam across the pitch, switching flanks or playing through the middle, wreaking havoc on opposition defenses.

Chelsea Young Players role

On a team with young, hard-working, athletic players like Pulisic, Abraham, Mount, and Hudson-Odoi, Ziyech can replace Willian as a versatile veteran playmaker with even greater technical qualities and final product.

As underrated as Willian is, he only has four goals and four assists this season; Chelsea needed a more threatening player in the final third to bring it all together.

Ziyech has led a young, talented team to the verge of Champions League glory, and he will join a team with more talent and resources as he enters the prime of his career.

For 40 million euros, Chelsea could not have possibly purchased a more productive, versatile, skillful, and consistent player.

Ziyech can coexist with Mount, Abraham, and Pulisic, bringing out the best in those around him as a moveable chess piece and table-setter for Lampard in the upcoming, critical 2020-21 campaign.

Croatia qualify in Euro 2020 with 3-1 home victory over Slovakia

Croatia qualified for Euro 2020 after second-half goals from Nikola Vlasic, Bruno Petkovic and Ivan Perisic encouraged a retaliation 3-1 home-based win over Slovakia in a thrilling Group E contestant.

The consequence left the Croatians on 17 points from eight competitions as they finished their campaign, with three sides behind them still in argument for next year’s 24-nation tournament. Euro Cup fans can purchase Croatia Euro Cup Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Second-placed Hungary 12 points visits, third-placed Wales 11 points on Tuesday in a dogfight for a top-two finish where a win would see either through.

A draw, however, might allow fourth-placed Slovakia 10 points, who are at home to lowest team Azerbaijan in their ultimate game, to crush through as they have an improved head-to-head record beside the Hungarians.

Croatia wasted a burst of first-half probabilities and was penalized in the 32nd minute when Robert turned in a Stanislav Lobotka cross from the left-hand.

Bozenik just about doubled Slovakia’s lead as Croatia keeper Dominik Livakovic just achieved to tip over the 19-year-old striker’s violent drive from the edge of the penalty area.

Yet that was as decent as it got for Slovakia on a raining evening in the coastal city of Rijeka, as Croatia twisted the tide with a fierce second-half onslaught.

Vlasic equalised in the 56th minute with a low drive from 20 metres and Petkovic fired Croatia ahead four minutes later when he powered an unstoppable header into the top angle after Luka Modric fluctuated in an inch-perfect angle.

Slovakia had winger Robert Mak sent off in the 66th minute for a second bookable foul before Perisic added the third for the home side, volleying home a Borna Barisic contribution to pleasure a packed home gathering in Rujevica stadium.

Slovakia keeper Martin secures Slovakia a heavier loss with numerous fines saves in the closing phases.

Arsenal is back in action against Newcastle Utd in Premier League

After three days, Arsenal is back in action against Newcastle Utd on Sunday afternoon. Lee Mason was nominated for this one and it is far from the best that PGMOL has to offer. In fact, none of them really stand out for their excellence.

Just this morning, Mail Online published an article about two referees who failed their fitness tests to become members of the FIFA International List. Sports enthusiasts from around the world can purchase Arsenal Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

There will be no Euros for Andy Madley or David Coote unless they pass on the second attempt given to them after blaming the flu for their poor performance. What a poppy. If either had had a dose of flu, he wouldn’t have gotten out of bed in the first place.

It was not a good time for the PGMOL, as Jon Moss found himself in hot water because of his alleged comments made to Bournemouth players in their 2-1 loss to Sheffield Utd.

Dan Gosling said the referee did not help. Giving slight mistakes and small comments to two or three guys didn’t really help too. I thought it was very disrespectful what he said.

These are just the little niggly and then the sarcastic little comments. Officials state about respect at the start of the season and there was no respect from Jon Moss on Sunday.

I thought it was a shame. The comments he made especially to me and another player - talking about the relegation zone and “you’re still in the relegation zone”, “you have one”, “your team has one”, this and that and that was very, very disrespectful.

In my opinion, Jon Moss is up there with some of the worst referees in the Premier League, followed closely by the others. They are “managed” by a guy who must be one of the few who has not been able to oversee the successful implementation of VAR in England.

A subject discussed several times, but it still fails. Not because of technology in my opinion but because of operators who seem to ignore the “clear and obvious” rule.

Marc Clattenburg also found himself in trouble a few years ago for reasons similar to Moss. His comments were made to Adam Lallana who was then in Southampton. Clattenburg referred to the game change since he was called up for England, which didn’t go well.

Clattenburg said his comments were aimed at disseminating a situation rather than shaking his cards for dissent. Moss may have been doing the same thing, but even so, there is a difference between the two. Mocking the position and difficulties of the Bournemouth League was, in my opinion, unprofessional.

However, footballers cannot play on both tables. You don’t have to be a professional spreader to determine what some players learn from officials, so why are they surprised, upset even when they come back a little? Two wrongs don’t make a right of course but if it’s the start of something regular, there will only be one result. Zero tolerance in both directions.

Rugby is right. There is mutual respect between officials and players and when a referee speaks, the player listens. No first name is used during the game, just numbers and the color of the jersey and therefore problems rarely materialize.

Football referees seem to want to be everyone’s friends, certainly in many cases anyway. I remember Rooney had always been called Wayne by Mike Dean during our games, but these were just surnames for our guys.

Referees, linesmen, and women are there to do a job and they have to be professional. Footballers are not their best friend, they should not laugh and joke with the two and the same goes for officials. If a player begins to abuse the referee, reserve them. If he continues, send him back. After all, it’s in the rules.

This sends a message to children who are also growing up and to their parents/guardians who raise them while playing sports. Getting it right at the local level will only create a better future in all sports.

As for Jon Moss, well, he’s been cleared of any wrongdoing, which isn’t a big surprise, but that begs the question of how this incident was investigated. If Bournemouth’s complaint was formalized, someone other than Mike Riley should have investigated. For me, a large broom appeared and the nearest mat was lifted.
